Many THANKS for receiving a 2016 Thanksiving Basket. Darryl Barnes and ALL participants were Fantastic! My experience as a visually impaired elderly woman was overwhelming! The kids were very helpful, kind and efficient. I greatly appreciate everything that was done. It didn’t take for me to have Sight to see how much LOVE that was put into this event, Mr. Darryl Barnes came out and had conversation with us while Instructing his team to move the elderly and persons with disabilities to the front of the line. I have never been apart of a Basket Event yet this man is giving Thanks! And sincerely it was my pleasure to have been in the mist of so much KINDNESS!

I’ve been receiving a basket from Men Aiming Higher for the past 6 years and each year has been better than the previous year. I’m so grateful and appreciative for all that Mr. Barnes and his organization has done for my family and I as well as others throughout the surrounding communities.
The volunteers that assist with the distribution of the food and the young people who assist with carrying the bags are so courteous and helpful. I’m just overjoyed with gratitude that I’ve been selected each year and able to feed my family. As a person on disability trying to make ends meet it definitely helps me out during the Holidays.
This year has been trying for my family as my husband was found dead near the Ft. Totten Metro a few months ago and just on October 12th my uncle was found in his apartment deceased.
I can’t express my gratitude and appreciation enough for Men Aiming Higher and all the people who contribute to make this a success each year. Again, thank you to all parties/providers that make this event successful.
